My friend Todd – a great friend that I have known since I was a GI Joe-carrying pup – recently sat for a portrait session in my Alexandria, Virginia, studio. Todd planned on sitting for a group portrait with his brother, though scheduling issues lead to a solo portrait session. After a thorough explanation of the lighting equipment’s significance and our general plan for the session, we turned the stereo up and had a blast making a few portraits.
Not long after we wrapped the session and the set was struck, I sent a gift box of prints to Todd to share with his family as a way of saying “thank you” for trusting me with his portrait. The portraits look beautiful printed onto high quality archival paper and Todd was pleased with the surprise – prints that will last a lifetime.
