Helanah and I recently collaborated on a portrait session in an ad hoc – errr, cough cough – garage studio during a visit to Syracuse, New York. Despite the space being cramped (and the ceiling being comically low), Helanah was a trooper and her patience and poise are reflections of her professionalism.
We ran through a few different lighting setups and removed the seamless background for additional portraits, though I think that the images in front of the solid backdrop are the better ones – they are photographs of her, as opposed to images with a busy, strange, out of focus “thing” happening in the background.
You can’t win ’em all. 🙂
All in all, I am pleased with the results and look forward to working with Helanah again in the future. Did we have a good time catching up and joking about all things Syracuse? You be the judge…
Thank you, Helanah, for trusting me with your portrait – I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.
