Franz, bass player for Turnstile, recently sat for a portrait in my mobile studio outside of the United Blood hardcore and punk festival in Richmond, Virginia. I caught up with Franz early in the day prior to the festival ramping up and he was up for the collaboration. I am not sure if I told him how many times I have listened to the Move Thru Me EP in the past six months but I am sure that he would have been stoked. 🙂
Alex Gil, an incredibly talented architect and designer based in Brooklyn, New York, recently dropped in on my Alexandria, Virginia studio to sit for a portrait. Alex was familiar with my portraiture and was eager to update his bank of photographs to draw from for promotional work…and to have a few laughs! I think that our collaboration delivered on both fronts.
Sara recently came by my Alexandria, Virginia studio to sit for a portrait and to discuss art, punk rock, and the “excitement” of large family events held around the holidays – some familiar territory and a dash of new subject matter to laugh over.
Jo recently stopped by my Alexandria, Virginia studio for a portrait sitting and a lengthy discussion on the merits of and universality of The Smiths. The Smiths were an easy task to conquer – it only took moments to come to an agreement on their collective genius. Our portrait session moved right along and, before we knew it, we were wrapped and saying “goodbye” to one another.
Dominic, an excellent graphic designer from the DC / Baltimore area, recently dropped in on the Alexandria, Virginia studio to sit for a portrait. Dominic was familiar with my portraiture and, after discussing collaboration over the course of a few months, sat for a series of portraits in my studio.
