Portrait session with Tom Damiano, Richmond, Virginia. April, 2017.

Tom Damiano – singer of Syracuse’s Trail of Lies, bass player for Richmond’s Naysayer and slinger of the best stainless steel pour-over coffee filter that I have ever used – sat for a portrait in my mobile studio outside of the United Blood hardcore and punk festival in Richmond, Virginia.  I have known Tom for years and it took little nagging to get him into the studio. Tom was busy during the fest – both of his bands played excellent sets.  It was awesome to walk into the venue and see an old buddy positively ripping it up.  Tom is…

Portrait session with Freaky Franz, Richmond, Virginia. April, 2017.

Franz, bass player for Turnstile, recently sat for a portrait in my mobile studio outside of the United Blood hardcore and punk festival in Richmond, Virginia.  I caught up with Franz early in the day prior to the festival ramping up and he was up for the collaboration. I am not sure if I told him how many times I have listened to the Move Thru Me EP in the past six months but I am sure that he would have been stoked.  🙂

Portrait session with Brian, Syracuse, New York. July, 2017.

Brian, an old friend of mine from Syracuse, New York, recently sat for a portrait in an impromptu studio and brought along his Odd Fellows gear – what a treat!  I had a great time catching up with and collaborating with Brian and loved to hear of each item’s significance.  I look forward to collaborating with Brian in the future.

Portrait session with Vinnie Stigma, Richmond, Virginia. April, 2017.

Vinnie Stigma – guitarist for Agnostic Front and all around punk and hardcore legend – sat for a portrait during the marathon “Uhaul Sessions” this past April outside of Richmond’s United Blood hardcore and punk festival.  When I started planning the project Vinnie was one of the sitters that I was most excited to work with – I was thrilled to collaborate with him!  The sitting was brief, but I had an awesome time working with him and goofing on friends in common.

Portrait session with Scott Vogel, Richmond, Virginia. April, 2017.

Scott Vogel – frontman of Terror and World Be Free – sat for his portrait during the marathon “Uhaul Sessions” this past April outside of Richmond’s United Blood hardcore and punk festival.  I have known Scott for about twenty years now (wait – woah!) and it was an honor to make his portrait.  I have been a fan of Scott’s bands for two decades – I think that I even booked Despair once – and it was a real kick to make his portrait.  Thank you, Scott, for trusting me with your portrait!

Portrait session with Dan & Teemu, Richmond, Virginia. April, 2017.

Dan and Teemu recently sat for their portrait during the marathon “Uhaul Sessions” this past April outside of Richmond’s United Blood hardcore and punk festival.  Dan and Teemu’s story is awesome – they are best buds and go everywhere together.  How could we not make their portrait?

Portrait session with Ace Stallings, Richmond, Virginia. April, 2017.

Ace Stallings, frontman of Break Away and one of the masterminds behind Richmond’s United Blood festival, sat for a portrait during the marathon “Uhaul Sessions” this past April.  Ace fit in time between helping with the fest, performing an after-hours set, and enjoying the fest – i.e., moshing – and was a great sitter.
